“My husband and I enjoyed the cabin as we always do. This wasn't our first time staying with Baskins Creek and I believe we will continue to use you guys in the future. The only thing that could be complained on was the weather but that is out of everyone's control. We're real outdoorsy people and enjoy exploring the surrounding trails, but the inclement weather prevented us from doing so. But on the flip side, we live in Bristol, so we don't have far to travel. We found that there was a newer hot tub which was much more enjoyable than the old one. We did have a few wasps try to come in and visit and we did have a huge raccoon get in the trash but thank goodness it wasn't a bear! We look forward to renting again and we may try out some different cabins to get some ideas for our own future plans of building a log home. Thanks so much for everything and we will book in the future!
Sincerely,“

“Had a most wonderful time at the cabin!
We appreciate the hospitality, and the customer service!
I'm getting ready to head back into active duty service tomorrow, so this opportunity provided my wife and I an awesome moment to share with each other, and was marked especially by being Valentine's Day.
The cabin was well-kept, and we had no issues at all.
I look forward to being able to come back, and hope we'll be able to plan on it being back to heaven-sent!“

“We had a wonderful stay in our cabin. The accommodations were very nice and relaxing which made for a truly delightful honeymoon. My wife and I will definitely recommend Baskins Creek to our friends and family. We look forward to staying with you again in the future. Thank you and may God Bless you and yours.“

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was lovely. We had a wonderful get-a-way for two, and plan to return to the area in the future with some more of the family. When we do so, we will very likely use your service again.
Although we were satisfied, things were not perfect (things rarely are), so I do want to mention a few points.
--We had some trouble with the hot tub. It was way too hot but the themometer said it was only 62 degrees. We followed the directions posted on the wall but nothing seemed to work. We called the office and reported the trouble. The woman I spoke with said she would call maintanance to find out if it was something I could fix or if they needed to come out. She said someone would be there either that night or first thing in the morning at the latest but that she would call me back either way to let me know what they said. She never called back. About 10 am the next morning I called the office again to find out if they were coming since we wanted to head out for some activities. I was told they would be out that morning. We came back to the cabin about 2pm and nothing had been done. I called again and talked to Brian who said maintanance would be there in no more than two hours. I called back about 4:30 and Brain said it would be another hour or two, but that they would come that night. A nice young man did come out soon after that and fixed the tub. It didn't take two minutes to turn the temp down and empty some of the water, which we could probably have done ourselved if we had been told to do so. He told us not to pay any attention to the themometer; that they never work. That means the posted intructions are worthless. The problem did get fixed and we were able to use the hot tub, but it seems like a lot of time was wasted.
--For the most part the cabin was very clean and nice, but I had to move the bed out to retrieve the TV remote and it was unbelievably filthy under that bed.
--Your emailed instructions said that check-out was 10am but there is a sign above the kitchen sink that says check-out is 11am.
--Your web site says you have offices in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Your phone tree gives directions to a Pigeon Forge office. But the person I talked to on the phone before we left Indiana said that you have never had Pigeon Forge office and that I had to either check in by phone or come into Gatlinburg. I am still confused by this one!
--It would be nice to have an extra trash bag or two in the cabin. By the second day our little kitchen waste basket was full but we could not find another trash bag to put in it. We had to dump the trash into the outside trash can without it being closed in a bag. No animals got into it, but I was afraid they might. There were a couple extra bathroom-sized bags in the bathroom waste basket but I did not realize that until I took out the trash before checking out.
I don't want you to think we were unhappy, I don't expect perfection, but you can't fix problems if you don't know they exist! So that you don't think I am an old grouch, I am going to comment on a few things that went right!
--Your web site is very easy to maneuver. I liked the fact that I could look at a description of a unit and see the availability and price of that unit all on the same page. This is why you got my business and not one of the other dozens of cabin rental companies with websites.
--It was our first time in the area but we had no trouble finding the cabin, your directions were perfect.
--It was so nice not to have to go all the way into Gatlinburg to check in and check out. Using a coded lock is a great idea.
--The cabin was beautiful! It was wonderfully decorated and the kitchen well stocked. There were appliances and kitchen gadgets that I would not have expected to be there, ie electric can opener, blender, grater, nice dishes and flatware (not just the cheep stuff or miss-matched).
--The guest books are a wonderful little plus. I had a great time reading what past guest had written. Many had returned to that very same cabin many times. Some spent their honeymoons there and then returned for anniversaries. Some had their love re-kindled during their stay. Reading their stories made me feel like I am part of the "Heaven Sent Family". Even my boyfriend enjoyed reading some of them and he is the worlds most unromantic person!
Finally, all of your staff that I have talked to on the phone and the one and only staff person I met in person, were pleasant, polite, and professional. Granted, some were more helpful than others, but all were courtious.
Assuming finances will allow, and Royce's health holds out long enough, we will be back for another visit. It was a wonderful vacation. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ramona and Royce“
